I don't hate babies. I don't even hate parents. I just wish parents would realize what enormous power they have over the rest of their children's lives when they give them a name. I wish parents would realize that kids grow up. Just because a parent likes the name Dymondlyn Shardonnae DaiseeBlossom or Dakoda Hunter Truck'Killah doesn't mean that it's a good name for a kid. Kids aren't accessories. If you want something with a cool name, buy a dog or a boat or some crap like that.

Just found your blog:) My husband has a book in which he writes all the 'scrabble bag' names that appear in the local 'births'. We haven't come across Syrup and Honey yet!!!! We think some of them amount to child abuse. Do they ever consider how these names will sit on an adult and give them any credibility? I think some of them must visit your site to find names for their offspring.
I lkove me some baby names world drama. I'm TheSatanic[CNL], if you read enough of the name posts on that site, you'll probably see me pop up now and then - usually being described as a bitch, a know-it-all and "stuck up", hehe. Oh, well - don't be a douche about your childs name and I won't have to tell you the truth.

I personally prefer the spelling ShyAyn. Or, Cheyaynn.

Have you tried using a computer software to find those perfect names for you baby? You can just type in whatever letters you want in it, helps a bundle. I haven't bought one yet but my friend directed me to www.boygirlbabynames.com ... she says it helped her a bunch. Good luck!
H E L P! my granddaughter wants to name her baby Mi'Arah. If you saw Mi'Arah, how would you pronounce it? (The phonetic pronunciation as she wants it to be is, Mee-are-a.)

My daughter brought a new friend home tonight and when I asked the poor girl's name she answered,"Bertha Ula Tina Tompson." I feel so bad for a girl to have initials that spell 'BUTT'...
i have found that Baby Gaga is a somewhat strange site, with the average age of the moms being around 18, just guessing.
as for the name, my 3rd daughter's name is Shianne. i saw it and loved it and used it. now when i see Shyanne i wish i had used that, except she is s social butterfly at her art college, no where NEAR shy ;)
Seriously, Shyanne just looks stupid to me.
It's like people liked the sound but are too dumb or not bothered to find the correct spelling.
How much is the poor girl called 'Shyanne' going to get hassled and bullied through her school life.
Imagine "Hey ANNE, why are you so SHY" being taunted at her daily.
Names are often the first impression people have of a person, and it's been proven that people are treated with bias according to their name.
As a parent it's your job to give your child every chance at a successful life, so why would you disadvantage them by naming them something stupid?
